Cookie notice
Most cookie notices explain a long list of trackers. This one is short, because there is nothing on this website to explain.
The short version
This website sets no cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, session cookies or local storage. It loads no scripts from anyone else's servers. Nothing on it follows you anywhere.
The single exception is the beta request form, which contacts another server when, and only when, you press the button. That is described below.
This website
feylo.co.uk is a set of static pages. Everything it needs — its fonts, its images, the small amount of JavaScript that opens the mobile menu and reveals sections as you scroll — is served from our own domain.
Specifically, and to be unambiguous:
- No first-party or third-party cookies are set.
- No analytics service is in use, cookieless or otherwise.
- No advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking.
- No embedded video, maps, fonts or widgets loaded from another company.
- No use of
localStorage,sessionStorageor similar.
Our servers keep ordinary web logs, which include the network address a request came from. Those are used to keep the site running and secure, and are covered by the privacy notice rather than by cookie rules.
The Feylo app
The app is not a website and does not use cookies. It stores one thing on your device: the token that keeps you signed in, held in the device's own secure storage — the Keychain on iOS, the Keystore on Android. Signing out revokes it.
The app contains no advertising or analytics software development kits from any third party.
The beta request form
The one form on this site sends what you type to a form endpoint at portal.thackr.co.uk, run by Thackr on our behalf. That request happens when you press the button, and at no other time.
Like most servers, it answers with cookies of its own. Those are set forportal.thackr.co.uk, not for feylo.co.uk: this website cannot read them, they are not used to build a profile of you, and no other page contacts that address. They exist only in the course of doing the thing you asked for, so they are strictly necessary and need no consent.
What happens to the address you submit is covered in the privacy notice.
Why there is no cookie banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is needed to store or access information on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Reading this site stores nothing at all, so there is nothing to consent to.
A banner here would be theatre: asking permission for something that is not happening, and training people to dismiss a question that sometimes matters.
If this ever changes
We may eventually want to know which pages people find useful. If we add measurement, we will prefer a tool that does not set cookies or build profiles, we will name it on this page before it goes live, and we will update the privacy notice at the same time.
If we ever add something that does require consent, we will ask for it properly: nothing will load until you say yes, refusing will be as easy as accepting, and we will not treat silence as agreement.
