About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Feylo covering your use of the Feylo app and this website. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Feylo.

Feylo is in private beta

Feylo is an early product offered to a small number of households by invitation. That has real consequences, and we would rather set them out than bury them:

Features may change, be added, or be withdrawn.
There may be faults, and the service may be unavailable at times.
We may need to contact you about the beta itself. Those are service messages rather than marketing.
We may end the beta. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your information out first.

Who can use Feylo

You must be at least 18 and resident in the United Kingdom. Feylo is designed for two adults who share a household, and is currently offered in pounds sterling.

Your account

Feylo has no passwords: you sign in with a code sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone else has access to your account.

One account is for one person. Please do not share an account with your partner; the product is built for the two of you to have your own.

Households and your partner

A Feylo household contains two people, joined by an invitation. Some information is deliberately shared between you, and some deliberately is not; the privacy notice sets out exactly which is which.

A household agreement takes effect only when both of you have accepted the same version of it. Neither of you can set or change the household's rules alone, and we will not act on an agreement that only one of you has accepted.

Feylo is a tool for a conversation between two people who trust each other. It is not a legally binding contract between you and your partner, it does not create any obligation that either of you could enforce against the other, and it is not a substitute for legal advice about your finances or your relationship.

Feylo is not financial advice

Feylo is a planning tool. It organises figures you give it according to rules you choose. It does not recommend what you should do with your money.

Feylo is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and does not carry out any regulated activity.
Nothing in the product or on this website is financial, investment, tax, debt or legal advice.
Feylo does not hold your money, does not make payments, and cannot move funds between accounts.
If you need advice, particularly about debt, please speak to a qualified adviser. Free, impartial help is available in the UK from MoneyHelper and from Citizens Advice.

Your figures, and what we calculate from them

Feylo works from the figures you type in. If those are wrong or out of date, the plan will be too. Keeping them current is your responsibility, and either of you can update them.

We take the arithmetic seriously: contributions and splits are calculated to the penny, and the plan is designed so that every pound coming in is accounted for. But a plan is a description of an intention, not a guarantee of an outcome. Please check anything important before acting on it.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

use Feylo to harass, coerce or control another person, including your partner;
attempt to access anyone else's account, answers or household;
probe, scan or test the security of the service, except as described in our responsible disclosure process;
copy, scrape or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product;
upload anything unlawful, or use Feylo for an unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

Availability and changes

We will do our best to keep Feylo available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or remove features as the product develops. Where a change materially reduces what the service does for you, we will tell you before it happens.

Price

Feylo is free during the private beta. If we introduce a charge, we will tell existing beta households well in advance, and nobody will be charged without agreeing to it first.

Our intellectual property

The Feylo name, logo, design and software belong to us. Using the product does not transfer any of that to you.

The information you put in remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your figures, to calculate your plan, and to show the agreed parts of it to the other person in your household.

Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Beyond that, and because Feylo is a planning tool offered free during beta: we are not liable for financial decisions you make using it, for losses arising from figures that were inaccurate or out of date, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Ending your use of Feylo

You can stop using Feylo at any time, and ask us to delete your data at [email protected]. Because a household contains two people, closing your account affects your partner's plan; we explain what happens to shared records in the privacy notice.

We may end your access if you break these terms, or if we withdraw the service. We will give reasonable notice unless the circumstances make that impossible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
