Personal money is an amount each of you can spend on yourself without discussing it. You agree the amount together; what you do with it is not something the product has an opinion about.
You choose how it is set
- The same amount each.
- In line with what each of you earns.
- A single amount shared between you as things come up, rather than divided.
- Nothing separate at all, if you would both rather decide spending together.
It is funded before anything optional
Personal money is not what happens to be left at the end of the month. Your plan funds it before it walks your savings and debt priorities. In a month where the commitments take more than expected, Feylo says how much less was set aside than you agreed, and why.
Spending it is not reported
Your partner can see that the agreed amount was set aside. They do not see what you spent it on. That boundary is the entire point of having agreed it.
