You do not need anything unusual, and you do not need to connect an account. Feylo works from figures you type in.
Worth having to hand
- What each of you earns. Take-home pay is the useful figure. Weekly, four-weekly, monthly and annual amounts are all fine; Feylo converts them to an average month.
- What the household pays out regularly. Rent or mortgage, council tax, energy, water, broadband, insurance, childcare, subscriptions.
- What each of you pays on your own. A car loan, a phone contract, a gym membership, maintenance payments.
Why it asks for the personal ones too
Because a plan that ignores them is not a plan. Personal commitments are paid out of what each of you keeps, never out of household money, so recording them keeps one partner’s own costs from quietly shifting onto the other.
You can change any of these later. Updating a figure is not a negotiation, and either of you can do it.
